Harar is an ancient city situated on a hilltop in the eastern part of Ethiopia. It is most famous for its colourful markets, paintings, and artefacts, reflected in our precious art pieces.
Born in 2013 and run by two-best friends, Harar Restaurant is a gem that continues to bring London a taste of East Africa’s exuberant flavours.
OUR CUISINE
Harar caters to a range of dietary needs from mild to extremely spicy, several vegan options and gluten-free injera!
Ethiopia is the birthplace of our beloved coffee! Indulge yourself in our original Ethiopian coffee after your meal or for a quick energy boost!
Coffee beans are roasted on top of a gas stove and offered to our guests to have a whiff of the floral and fruity aroma. The beans are grounded and boiled in a clay flask and served in a demitasse cup with popcorn and burning frankincense.
ETHIOPIAN HONEY WINE
Tej, like mead, is an Ethiopian honey wine made from fermented honey and an evergreen shrub called Gesho. This sweet drink compliments a heartful plate of Injera!
